Alpha paw

AS a retired vet, I remember looking out of the window and seeing the passing dogs crossing to the other pavement to get past the surgery door (Notebook, September 14). But I recall once asking for the next patient and a large Rottweiler came in, followed by his ‘man’ and two children. The dog said: ‘I am too big to get on the table. It’s my left ear. Have a look. Thank you. We’ll take the drops. He will pay. Come on, you lot.’ Out went the undoubted leader of the pack, followed by his minions. It was very impressive.
