WHAT IS HEARING LOSS?
According to The World Health Organisation, hearing loss can range from mild, moderate, moderately severe, severe or in the worst cases, profound.
It can affect either one or both ears.
The major causes of hearing loss include early onset childhood hearing loss, chronic middle ear infections, noise-induced hearing loss, agerelated hearing loss, and ototoxic drugs that damage the inner ear.
Hearing loss isn’t just something older people suffer from, and much of the deaf population includes young children and adults!
