Various AF spanners, including large ones for the housing bolts.

‘O’ rings.

Fine grade wet and dry paper.

Pin punches to remove roll pins.

A lot of patience.

I may have previously mentioned that twice I have been covered in oil and now the lift doesn’t work at all.

There is only one thing for it: face the situation and strip down the valve block.

Complication

I had already removed the hydraulic lift arm housing cover on the left-hand side, looking from the rear, to check that the lift arm latch was working, so I knew how to get this side apart. The right-hand side is a little more complicated. The valve block is withdrawn through the casting after first removing the front end that contains the quadrant and the lowering speed valve control.
