KTM have gone through many phases with their 450cc machine and have completely changed strategy with its direction and design multiple times when it comes to chassis, but particularly the motor and its power delivery. My mind flashes back to the allconquering 2015 model KTM 450 SX-F, the bike that Ryan Dungey piloted to the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross title while Kirk Gibbs did likewise here in Australia at the Monster Energy MX Nationals. A bike that straight out of the crate would be competitive against any of the factory machines in both handling and power delivery.
