PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2022

1. Golden Light Lancia

BY CHRIS GURTON

This Lancia was captured at Silverstone and is a panning masterclass. The front portion of the car is in focus and tack sharp, while the vehicle’s high speed – paired with a shutter speed of 1/125 sec – has created streaks of motion blur. If that were not enough, a flame has been captured from the exhaust and the image has been shot at sunset, resulting in beautiful pink hues and golden light.

Camera: Nikon D2X

Lens: 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5

Exposure: 1/125 sec, f/8, ISO100
