There is something very relaxing about boating on the ‘Broads’. Just a little tide to make you feel nearly at sea and yet as safe and stress free as boating can be. But sailing well along the narrow, winding rivers between the Broads requires many tacks, gybes and a fair degree of concentration on a busy day.
My first Broads experience was on, a little gaff rigged sloop. My wife and I had hired her from Martham Boatyard, a traditional boatbuilder and hirer of nice wooden boats.
