I heard my daughter’s bedroom door slam shut.
She’d rushed off straight after dinner, with barely a word.
‘Something’s not right,’ I said to my eldest daughter Lucy, then 22.
It was May 2019, and Teigen, then 11, was usually a bubbly, happy girl.
She loved dancing and making videos on TikTok.
Teigen had mild learning difficulties, but they didn’t affect her too much.
She was in Year 6, looking forward to starting secondary school.
But recently, she’d become quiet and withdrawn.
Disappearing into her room with her phone.
