‘I don’t want to become a 100-YEAR-OLD NUN!’

Returning to the set for The Railway Children – the film that made her a household name as a teenager back in 1970 – was always going to be nostalgic for Jenny Agutter. Now 69, she has reprised her beloved role as Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Waterbury for the film’s sequel, The Railway Children Return.

‘Oakworth Station itself exists on nostalgia,’ Jenny says. ‘It’s not changed. The steam trains were there, plus the same train driver
