Pierneef – a distinctly African bonsai style

Even though there are numerous books dedicated to the various styles of bonsai, I prefer to avoid identifying specific styles of tree. As novices, we can easily become discouraged by all the seemingly conflicting descriptions of styles: upright, cascading, slanting, windswept… My best advice is to just grow your trees. Don’t worry about what style category they may or may not belong to, just enjoy the beauty of your bonsai for what they are.
