Throwing a bright pink scarf over my shoulders, I couldn’t wait to show my support for a very worthy cause.
It was October 2019, and I was off to a fundraising cocktail party event for ‘Pink Up Penola’, an annual month-long program in my town. It aims to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for the McGrath Foundation.
Cancer was a disease close to my heart as I’d watched my mum, Sue, battle non-Hodgkin lymphoma – and beat it.
