Take control
You guys have the best mag in the world. Been buying it for decades – keep it coming.
Read the Ed’s Desk (Who’s in control, Vol 72 No 03) with interest and an uncomfortable mix of exasperation, frustration and bemusement. And you ended with a request for feedback, so this is the shortened version [now even shorter! -Ed].
Currently on a GSX-R1000 and finding the level of tech good. That actually means I haven’t touched any of the settings in the 3000km of my favourite twisties I’ve done since I bought her. It’s an easy, friendly bike that suffers my sub-standard inputs and turns them into quick laps and laughs.
I suspect the tech has saved me a few times – a back-end lose that turned into an eyes-wide-open, power-on drift was a good one. I’m old enough to know that I can’t go out and repeat that on demand. So yeah, I like that tech.
My work is also techy, with recent exposure to EVs and their increasing level of tech. A couple of roadies in a friend’s Model X were eye-opening.
