Chrissie had breezed away from our last session, fired up about the idea of planning weekends away with her partner so that they could rekindle their relationship and learn to appreciate one another again.

However, since then, Chrissie had cancelled two appointments with me. Now, as I sat waiting to see her for the first time after a long break, I was aware that I was feeling a little anxious.
