Mysterious Ways

#Ahhhmazing

hree years ago, our family was looking to adopt a dog. I was on Facebook one night, I thought. I clicked on it. Only then did I read the name on the profile and realize that it was my pastor’s new wife, Deanna. I didn’t understand why the profile photo was only of Brett, but I sent her a friend request, and she accepted. The next day, she posted about a stray dog she’d found. They’d searched for the owners without any luck. Now she was hoping to find the pup a good home. I messaged her, and we set up a time and met the cute black-and-white terrier mix. He was a little shy at first, but so sweet. As we got to know the pup, I mentioned Brett’s picture. Deanna laughed and told me she’d set her profile picture as a photo of Brett as a joke. She’d changed it since, but not before that recognizable photo caught my eye—and led me to Peyton, our beloved family dog.
