HOW THEY QUALIFIED

Fiji beat Samoa 41-13 at the 2019 Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship to qualify for the women’s Rugby World Cup for the first time. They are the 21st women’s team to play in a RWC.

They have never played any of their pool opponents before. Prior to this tournament, Fijiana had played only Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tonga in Test matches.
