2022'S MULTI-DAY PACKS

WATERPROOFING

Packs are water-resistant, not waterproof, so extra precautions are required. The best bet is to use a waterproof pack liner or dry bags to keep gear dry. Some packs have a rain cover, but on their own these are generally insufficient to protect the gear inside.

CAPACITY

These packs have capacities between 50 to 80 litres. As other tramping gear has become lighter and more compressible, it's possible to use 50–65l packs for most multi-day trips. Packs will be either single or double compartment,
