Making his Mark
Although he’s from Guernsey in the Channel Islands, and several of his scooters reside there, Mark is currently based in the northwest of England. With the recent release of his second solo album Mark Two, the logically named follow-up to his debut, Mark One, we thought it was time to catch up with the man himself for a chat about his music career, as well as his deep involvement with the scooter scene.
[Scootering] What attracted you initially to the scooter scene, and what was your first scooter?
My mate had a Vespa 100 and I really liked it. What clinched it for me was one day in St Peter’s Port, I saw this silver Vespa riding along. Both the scooter and rider, a fella called Digger, who rode with Birmingham Olympics, looked so cool! My first scooter was, and I say was, a Vespa 90 which I crashed under a bus and
