IT was a dream start for Britain’s riders, who set a new World Championships record dressage team score with their first three marks – and anchorman Oliver Townend lowered that record again as they closed the phase on 69.2.

Laura Collett led the charge, riding London 52 boldly in a beautiful uphill, open frame to shoot into the lead on the first day on 19.3.
