DENZEL BENTLEY out-toughed Marcus Morrison in four thrilling rounds to keep the British middleweight title on a dramatic night at York Hall.

The end came two minutes into the round when trainer Joe Gallagher, doing exactly the right thing, climbed into the ring to save his fighter. Only Morrison felt he should have been allowed to carry on.

Blood from his nose was smeared over his body, shorts and ringsiders, he was marked under both eyes – and he was getting beaten up.
