I NEVER GAVE UP!

WHEN he left his home in Nigeria, a bachelor’s degree in agriculture under his belt, he had big dreams of obtaining a master’s degree in Cape Town and wouldn’t let anything stand in his way.

But, boy, did he have plenty of obstacles standing in his way.

Covid-19, homelessness and a lack of funding all stood in Omamuyovwi “Dante” Gbejewoh’s path.

Yet he was determined not to give up on his dreams – and in the end, his dedication and never-give-up attitude paid off.

Dante is now living in Canada after graduating from Stellenbosch University.
