BOXING faces a fight to stay an Olympic sport after the International Olympic Committee’s latest meeting. The sport has been left off the programme for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles and the IOC expressed continued dissatisfaction with the way the International Boxing Association (IBA) run amateur boxing after a meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The IOC have already announced qualifying events for the 2024 Olympics in Paris will not be organised by IBA.
