Add faster broadband speeds to router’s QoS

Regarding the question on page 64 of Issue 638 (‘Why is my BT Full Fibre so slow?’), I was recently given a broadband speed upgrade by Virgin Media, but couldn’t see any improvement on my home network when I tested it using the Ookla speedtest app (www.speedtest.net/apps).

My Virgin Super Hub 2ac is in modem mode, connected to a D-Link DIR-882 router. Putting the Super Hub back into normal mode and retesting on one of its ports showed that Virgin had delivered as promised, so something in my home network was causing the problem.
