A Frame of MEMORIES

A friend of mine knew an elderly man who had several trophies. When the old man died his family, rather quickly, wanted my friend to investigate selling these trophies. I helped research the possibilities with a couple of brokers who deal in such. The money was not much. Prices have plunged since all the Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse, Bass Pro Shops and other chain stores of this type have ceased their building spree. Back in the 90s, when these chain stores were being built by the dozen, they all competed for mounted animals for their walls. Not so much now.

Among the old man's trophies was a Cape buffalo of immense proportions. It is within the top fifty heads in the record books I am told. An outstanding animal.
