Tattoo You was the result of Chris Kimsey’s trawling through hundreds of tapes back to 1973’s Goats Head Soup, turning up forgotten gems including and . Jagger grafted new vocals, Sonny Rollins overdubbed sax and Bob Clearmountain unified the sounds such that Tattoo You topped charts on both sides of Atlantic. The album is bolstered by from Munich ‘74, a reggaefied version of and tracks familiar from bootlegs amped up with new vocals, guitars and mixes, including Dobie Gray’s , Jimmy Reed’s and the. Exile-era ballad is a delightful surprise. The set includes June 1982’s entire 25-track set from Wembley Stadium, the Stones on form as they blaze through classics, current tracks and curios.
