THIS issue we tested the all-new V6 Pathfinder as well as revised Pajeros and Tritons, while for the aftermarket we looked at the 4WD speciality repair shops around the country (they have certainly exploded in number since then but whether there’s been a subsequent increase in combined knowledge, we’re not so sure). Sticking with the aftermarket we checked out a serious power upgrade for Toyota’s 2F petrol engine and we restored an MQ Patrol wagon, which would be a collector’s piece nowadays.
