“It’s so hard to find good, cheap sushi here,”
Sarah exclaims as she tries to find nori sheet sellers on Instagram.
The bell of an ice-cream vendor clinks away as the Singaporean sun blazes down on asphalt – an incentive for more residents to consider a cooling refreshment? I increase the fan speed, listen to the clink clank of the bell subsiding as I refocus on the interview subject sharing one half of my screen. I suddenly catch the unintended irony of Sarah’s statement.
