Taking it to the street

BACK IN BALACLAVA

This one’s coming straight off the fashion show runways! Balaclavas have become the peak of edgy high-brow style, so hook one now to wear all winter long.

WEAR THE TROUSERS

Take this summer’s crochet trouser trend into the autumn with a dark-coloured version. Make it with the large granny square pockets or without – your choice!

HOODED SCARF

Show you can’t be tamed with Natalie Beard’s scarf, complete with pointed animal ears and clever ‘distressed’ elements.

• Sirdar Stories DK (60% cotton, 40% acrylic, 50g/140m), 6 balls of each: Silent Disco (839), Date Night (808)

TENSION

Tension is not critical for this project, but it may affect the yarn quantities required

NOTES

Scarf is made up of 2 Panels. Each Panel is worked in rows and seamed together to form the hood of the Scarf.

Ch-sps are included as a st throughout. The Ears are worked in a continuous spiral without closing off each round with a slip stitch. You may find it helpful to mark the first st of the round, moving the marker up as you go.
