There are two types of riders in the world. One goes to the start line three hours before their race with helmet on, bike running, goggles on just ready for action, while the other is the complete opposite and turns up late, then goes through a last-minute panic to get into the gate, prepare the start rut, get the button locked down, slam it into gear and get the mechanic out of the way before the gates drop. No-one just turns up on time anymore.
