The fuel price buster

Renault’s Duster SUV made its debut on the local market in 2013. The styling of that original Duster reminded me of a dung beetle. Stocky and almost awkward looking, but tough and robust. Its no-frills-attached, built-for-purpose persona appealed to me from the get-go. Sure, it got better looking over the years as facelifted and next-generation versions were launched, but it kept the same endearing characteristics. Obviously, many motorists share my sentiments because 23 000 units have been sold in South Africa to date.
