1 Don’t chuck the oil from a jar of sun-dried tomatoes or marinated soft cheese. Use it when sauteing to add loads of flavour or add it to pesto or salad dressing.

3 Like sweet potato mash? Try this: Instead of peeling and boiling, roast them until soft inside. Scoop out the flesh and mash. The skins can then be drizzled with olive oil, sprinkled with salt and paprika, and crisped up in the oven or air fryer – perfect in a salad the next day!
