1 BOSTON WHALER 280 DAUNTLESS
The largest model in the Dauntless center console line, the 280 incorporates what the builder calls “next-level sophistication” for multiple uses: as a bay boat, while cruising, when enjoying watersports and more. The open bow is big enough for a group of friends, with additional seating forward of the console and at the stern. Cup holders, a table and coolers are ready for snacks, and an optional “swim patio” makes water access much easier. Anglers will find a casting platform, 19-gallon livewell, fishbox with pump-out and gear stowage. Options to protect against the elements include a full glass windshield and cockpit shade. Power choices are single or dual Mercury outboards; with the twins, owners can choose 250 or 300 hp with joystick piloting.
2 SOLARA S-310 CENTER WALKAROUND
The 310 is the flagship model in a new line of boats from Fluid Motion, the parent company of Cutwater Boats and Ranger Tugs. It’s designed for fishing, overnighting or entertaining. Power is two Yamaha F250 outboards, which work with the double-stepped deep-V hull to provide quick planing and the ability to slice through rough water. The cockpit has rod holders, rocket launchers, flood lighting, EVA traction decking and a livewell. Pop-up cleats should prevent snagged lines and stubbed toes, while the self-bailing deck and raw-water washdown will simplify cleanup. For breaks in the action, the cabin is air conditioned and heated, and has a head/shower and a V-berth that converts to a lounge.
3 INVICTUS GT320S
Invictus adds this new model to its popular GT range this year, a 32-foot, 7-inch long outboard-powered boat with a 9-foot, 11-inch beam. (A sterndrive version, the GT320, is also available.) The boat has a maximum horsepower rating of 900. The GT320S has the same interior as the GT320, which
