• Size 20 crochet cotton:
400-yd ball white
• Size 9/1.25mm steel crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Beading needle
• Glass seed beads:
188 gold
150 red
90 blue
58 green
• 7 inches 2mm gold braid
• 2⅜ x 4-inch plastic foam cone
• Plastic wrap
• 15mm satin ball with hanger
• Fabric stiffener
• Tacky glue
• 32 inches gold cord
GAUGE
12 dc = 1 inch; 4 dc rnds = 1 inch
PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Join rounds with a slip stitch unless otherwise stated.
Chain-3 counts as first double crochet throughout.
Crochet cotton listed will make several ornaments.
SPECIAL STITCHES
3-bead chain (3-bead ch): Push 3 beads close to hook, ch 1 firmly.
Bead chain (bead ch): Push 1 bead close to hook, ch 1 firmly.
Beads will appear on the WS of the crocheted piece. The WS of the crocheted ornaments is the front.
Double treble crochet (dtr): Yo hook 3 times, insert hook in indicated st, yo, draw up a lp, [yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] 4 times.
V-stitch (V-st): (Dc, ch 3, dc) in indicated st.
Beginning V-stitch (beg V-st): Ch 6 (counts as first dc, ch 3), dc in same st as beg ch-6.
