ften, in romance movies, disparate characters fall for each other feels like the same thing in reverse. A blossoming relationship can be smashed to ruins once you witness a potential paramour’s inability to operate a shield generator. The game even plays with this concept, with some levels dividing your spaceship in half, splitting your abilities like you’re allocating spoons during a messy divorce. When things click, however, the game is a celebration of working together, as satisfying as a meaty high-five.
