Trudging through the pouring rain, heavily pregnant, I headed to the supermarket with my partner Craig, then 28, when he suddenly took off his coat.
‘What are you doing?’ I asked, as he laid it down on the ground.
‘So you don’t have to walk in puddles,’ he laughed.
Then he got down on one knee. ‘Marry me?’ he asked, grinning.
I said yes. There was no question.
