‘I always knew it was going to be challenging and high risk, but that’s never fazed me’
When socialite and entrepreneur Amanda Cronin was having “a few issues” during the build of her new London home, she called the chief executive of one major company involved and firmly suggested that he come and check out the situation for himself.
“I told him: ‘Don’t even think about throwing one of your employees under the bus, because the buck stops with you,’” reveals Amanda, 47. Did he oblige? “People find it quite hard to say no to me,” she says with a dazzling smile.
