DISH THE DIRT

1 There is a bewildering number of car care products available, so much so it can be difficult to understand the fundamentals of detailing, including a basic maintenance wash. In this article, we’ll cover the routine tools and tips you need to keep your car looking good with regular cleaning. Think of this as a beginner’s guide to car care, with added useful information for all enthusiasts.

2 We’ll be using Gtechniq’s W4 Citrus Foam snowfoam, W1 GWash, W8 Bug Remover, W5 Citrus All-Purpose Cleaner, plus W6 Iron and Fallout Remover. We’ll also be making use of a microfibre wash mitt, drying towel, wheel brushes, pressure washer, snowfoam lance and two buckets, each containing a grit guard, which acts as a barrier between dirt and your mitt.
