GOING DUTCH
After our night in Tolkamer it was time to move on and that meant heading back towards Nijmegen as we needed to pick up a turn-off that we had passed the day before. This time we were going with the flow, which meant Juneau moved probably the quickest she ever had as we touched an almighty 9 knots!
We needed to stop for a few days again for our working week (we had arranged with our employers to work from our floating home three days a week) and chose a boat club at a place called Giesbeek, on the edge of the Rhederlaag lake. WSV Giesbeek was a lovely place to stay – friendly, peaceful and with good dog walks. There was an abundance of wildlife in the marina including pairs of grebes transporting their chicks around on their backs. We took advantage of the fresh air and beautiful views while our labrador, Tex, took advantage of the cool water to swim in
