Once home to a foreign embassy, Carla Sozzani’s Milan apartment retains a sense of haven to this day. Part of that feeling can be put down to the U-shaped space leading onto a private garden in a leafy street so serene it has ‘tranquilo’ in its name. Another part is because Sozzani has not so much designed the interior as allowed it to quietly evolve over time.
