Why here? The East Neuk of Fife has a captivating coastline, and the Fife Coastal Path offers all manner of inspiration for great walks. The Elie to Cambo section covers 16 miles and you could break it into any small chunk as it takes you into gorgeous little villages every few miles, starting with Elie (where you might see cricket on the beach), St Monans (pictured) and Pittenweem. Walk from Crail, a traditional fishing village with a 17thcentury harbour, to Kingbarns Beach and on to Cambo Gardens just inland from the path – these beautiful gardens are dog-friendly too. You’ll find a warm welcome from Cambo staff, treats on all tills for four-legged visitors, and doggy products and treats for sale in the shop. If you’re local, they have a wellbeing dog walk as a regular feature in the summer to get dog lovers together so their pooches can have a play together on the beach.
