    NATURAL JOY

    My goodness, how Sara Maitland’s article (June issue) went straight to my heart! I was a hyper and troubled child who found school a torture. However, one teacher recognised my love of nature and put me in charge of the classroom nature table, which was heaven. I could lose myself arranging the goodies we’d collected and labelling their names and habitats – bliss. I would have passed a natural history GCSE with flying colours.
