    This book is all about rivers, and I mean all – from the complexities of the water cycle, through the Severn bore, to the chaos and industry of beaver dams. In part, the story is familiar – an author on a quest (inspired, in this case, to reconnect with water following the fatal kayaking accident of a friend) to explore an aspect of the natural world.
