Optimists and pessimists on SA’s future: who’s right?

Economists’ view of the current state of South Africa’s economy and its outlook varies from positive to highly negative: some expect things to get better; others believe the worst is still to come.

These divergent opinions create confusion among consumers and farmers. On balance, though, it seems as if the pessimists are more correct.
