CROUCHING TIGER

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: new riders have it so good. Gone are the days when you would buy a 250cc scrapper and just make do until you got your full licence. For the newbies, getting a full licence can be up to a three-year ordeal, so choosing a bike that is versatile enough to see you through the whole process and more can be a smart move. The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 is a versatile real-world roadbike, just without the peak power and price tag of its larger Tiger siblings.

The Tiger Sport 660, arguably the sportiest bike in the Tiger range, is fitted with 17-inch wheels, sharp geometry and an underslung exhaust which produce agile handling and a stylish appearance.

However it’s still more than capable of touring with the big bikes, and can slap on a set of genuine hard panniers for a weekend adventure.

Comfort and control are essential on a long-legged bike like this one.
