Sequence

equence is the title of a debut sculptural solo show by Melbourne furniture designer maker Hugh McCarthy which ran in Sydney in May, 2022. Eleven columns of irregularly shaped and stacked units made a dramatic statement in a gallery context. As a collection, these vertical ‘sequences’ create a family of objects which are in dialogue with each other, as well as the surrounding space.
