Sympathy FOR THE DETAIL

If you were a VolksWorld reader in the early 1990s, you may well recall seeing Robin Allen’s distinctive ’52 Standard Beetle, registration number XSV 432, regularly in the magazine. Not only was the car featured, it also starred in frequent travelog / road trip features, as Robin put a lot of miles on that car, including driving it back to see its original owners, the Vogels in Augsburg, Germany.
