TULSA, Okla. — Mecum Auctions held it sophomore event in Tulsa on June 9-11. After a successful first year in 2021, the SageNet center at Expo Square was packed with a wide variety of vehicles and an enthusiastic crowd.
As always, Mecum had the Expo Square packed with a wide variety of vehicles. From prewar cars up to new Corvettes, there was definitely something for everyone. Mecum reported a total of 643 vehicles that went across the block in Tulsa with a 77% sell through rate. Total sales for the weekend added up to $17 million!
The top 10 was a diverse offering consisting of exotics, muscle, race cars and customs. The top seller of the weekend was a 1965 Cobra CSX4000 series hammering at $409,750. Among the other highlights were two factory drag cars — a 1965 Mercury Comet at $313,500 and a 1964 Plymouth Savoy at $129,250. The remaining top 10 sellers included a 2019 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT R at $189,750; a full custom 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser, $173,500; a 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo, $165,000; a 1969 Hemi Road Runner, $165,000; and 1970 Dodge Charger RT, $152,900.
