WHAT'S ON AT THE HAWKESBURY REGIONAL GALLERY

DAVID FAIRBAIRN: DRAWN TOGETHER

In his new series, ‘Drawn Together', David Fairbairn explores the ‘double portrait' and the relationship between one or two sitters and the artist. With restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fairbairn was unable to work with his regular sitters, so his partner, the artist Suzanne Archer, offered to sit for him, which resulted in a new and extensive body of work and the focus of this exhibition. The resulting series reflects a long and sustained personal and artistic relationship extending back more than three decades. Date: 5 Aug -18 Sep. Venue: Hawkesbury Regional Art Gallery. Artist Talk: Aug 14,1 - 3pm. Bookings essential via Eventbrite.
