STEP 1: EXTRACTING MINECRAFT’S FILES
The first thing you need to do is uncompress Minecraft’s resource files. To do this, follow these instructions:
■ Navigate to the Minecraft Java Edition directory. On Windows, the best way to do this is to press Windows Key + R (to bring up the run dialog box) and type %appdata% then press Enter. This will take you to a folder which should contain the game folder, .minecraft.
■ Double click the folder, then within that enter , and finally within that folder, find the one which shares the latest version number – at time – and enter that.
