In post-pandemic Britain, we are veering into an increasingly unstable society. From rising inflation driving the cost-of-living crisis, to our beloved public services facing unprecedented pressures, people are being squeezed to breaking point.

With increasing numbers now relying on food banks – from 26,000 in 2008 to a peak of nearly 2.57 million in 2021 – and nurses and teachers feeling they have no choice but to strike due to a lack of support, coupled with soaring energy costs, there seems to be no good news on the horizon.

Meanwhile, the government has been criticised for having ‘no clear plan’ in tackling the problems our country is battling.
