Philadelphia Sound
The Philadelphia Orchestra performs Beethoven’s ‘Eroica’ at the Royal Albert Hall, and star soprano Angel Blue joins them for two contrasting depictions of America: Samuel Barber’s nostalgic Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and This is Not a Small Voice, a new song cycle by Valerie Coleman.

Schoenberg’s Gurrelieder
It’s a rare treat to hear Edward Gardner lead the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Choir and team of world-class soloists in Schoenberg’s colossal cantata – one of the most ambitious choral works of all time.

Musical Resistance in Barbados
Baritone Peter Brathwaite goes on a personal journey to his ancestral land, to discover the musical and cultural legacy of enslavement on the island and the intersection of traditions, and to dig into his own identity as a Black classical musician raised in British institutions.
