Regarding the discussion prompted by the piece by Ralph Greco, Jn (Paperlate, 130): classical music has coped pretty well with ‘tribute acts’ for generations. There can’t be many people still around who ever saw Edward Elgar live, let alone Beethoven or Mozart and my view is that the best prog (and rock) music will survive this way long after the original musicians are gone.
